Monday, October 22nd, 2007Katherine Ann Patrick of Clearwater, Florida, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at Largo Medical Center after an undisclosed bout with recurrent cancer.
Miss Patrick was born Oct. 23, 1944, daughter of the late Dr. Joseph Cecil Patrick and Olive Hudson Patrick of Yardley, Penn. She moved from Yardley in 1970 with her mother and sister to reside in Florida.
She was an author and media consultant, a member of the NAACP and Planned Parenthood, and an ardent and accomplished amateur photographer.
Surviving are her sister, Eileen Patrick, of their home in Clearwater; brother, Dr. James B. Patrick, of Staunton, Virginia; nieces Pamela Patrick, Penelope Patrick Biskey, and Melissa Patrick of Augusta County, Virginia, and nephew James C. Patrick of Shenandoah County, Virginia.

Yes, this is a mostly political website, and this article is not. Yes, I am mostly conservative and she was mostly liberal. Yes, it’s so very far away, and now so very long ago.
So here’s a political statement: All of those banging the partisan drums are forgetting the most basic of facts, we are all human. Her articles on five years remembrance, and the April 16 photo drive that point home.
Ardent and accomplished photographer is an understatement; she took photographs most of us only dream of. Her photoblog is still online, for how long I have no idea.
